| At this time we reflect on the year that is drawing to a
close and look ahead to the year in prospect. Clwb Cledlyn
has faced severe financial pressures in 2009, but we've managed to
survive these thanks to a substantial grant from our Community Council
(to purchase the roadside safety barriers needed for the playground) and
to extra fund-raising activity.
We will start 2010 in a more healthy financial position with the
prospect of formally opening the playground when the safety barriers are
in place and with plans to further increase the number of fund-raising
events we put on. Hence, we can look ahead with much optimism.
The Management Committee would like to thank everyone who has
supported us through 2009 by contributing their time and/or their
money. Particular thanks are due to:
 | Daniel & Mary Thomas, who kindly presided over our Fun
& Sports Day in 2009 and made a most generous donation to the
Club, |
| Llanwenog Community Council, whose kind grant has helped us
so much to address our financial problems, |
| Pat O'Keefe who has helped us considerably by loaning us
equipment and offering to install the safety barriers next year
without charge. |
