After 3 wet summers in a row, this year
we had (at last) a glorious warm and sunny afternoon for the Sports
& Fun Day -
and there was a fantastic turn-out.

It was a great opportunity for the
community to get-together - there was plenty to do, plenty to watch,
plenty to eat & drink ... |
|
... and plenty to discuss
(whether in the sun or the shade). |
|
| There was a broad range of
Sports Events - including the ever-popular Egg & Spoon Race |

| This year's Rounders
tournament (refereed by Emyr) was a great hit ... |

 |
| ... and Steve's Stay Dry
Challenge made a big splash. |
 |
 |
| Donkey Rides were provided by Tanrallts
Furry Friends ... |
 |
 |
... and the Bouncy Castle was
almost permanently aquiver throughout the afternoon. |
| Jessica & Roisin took a quick (but
energetic) break from their hard work on the Refreshment Stall ... |

... and Alan, Caron & Chloe toiled
heroically at the BBQ keeping up with demand
(and combating the smoke). |
| Later on there was an
impromptu (and highly competitive) Rounders Match between team's captained
by Stanley & Steve |

| Thanks to the income from the
Grand Raffle, the BBQ, the refreshments, cake & bottle stalls, the
Bouncy Castle and a number of kind donations, the event raised around
£1,100. |
This just about matches our best ever
sum for a single fund-raising event.
No wonder our Treasurer was
smiling! |
