Rounders Tournament 2010

A good crowd of all ages was attracted to this event held on a Sunday afternoon in early September. The weather was a little overcast at first, but soon improved to become warm and sunny.
	There were 5 teams participating. The players took their places on the pitch and the first match of 12 was under way.
There was some cunning bowling ...

... and even some "sleight of Hands"!
There were several big hitters ...

... and in some cases fielders retreated to positions almost out of sight of the batter!
	There was excitement as batters raced for base 2 to earn half a rounder ...
... or for base 4 to win one rounder.

There was good humoured banter between batter and fielders ...
	... as well as some less sporting interaction!
There was plenty of burgers and hotdogs for the spectators and players ...
	... as well as a variety of brews. Bric-a-brac sales raised a fair sum ...
... and raffle ticket sales raised even more.
Together with the BBQ and refreshment sales, more than £230 was raised, making this another profitable and very enjoyable community event. We are really grateful to all the players & spectators as well as others who supported the event by donating funds and bric-a-brac. Thank you to one and all. Diolch yn fawr!
